I suggest considering ShadowSocks as an alternative to the SOCKS protocol. It offers similar functionality with the added security of encryption. socks5/http very popular proxy, and add tun to socks will be usefull, in my opinion. i can use my corporative proxy like a vpn and simple use on my phone
