Most probably the reported error happen between the connectivity change and the VPN restart, so you can ignore it.

The change of this option is not immediate. The change is applied when the profile is saved.
Please, try to unselect this option, edit the VPN profile and save the changes. This will force the app to save the VPN profile using the new option
