OpenVPN Client Certificate Password - How/Where to enter?

I want to import an .ovpn profile with a PKCS12 client certificate which has a password.

After selecting the profile "OpenVPN profile->Import from File->vpnprofile.ovpn" VPN Client Pro correctly preselects the PKCS12 certificate file but doesn't ask for that certificate password. It only shows "Error Wrong password!" and a red circled exclamation mark. Thus I'm not able to import a profile with a password protected certificate.

Could you investigate that please?

Thanks in advance

On version 1.00.42 don't ask certificate password and permanent reconnection occurs.

Maybe you have saved the wrong password.
Please, try to follow these steps:
  • edit the VPN profile
  • tap on Authentication
  • unselect "Save private key password" or insert the correct password
  • save the changes

This it's very strange.

Please follow these steps:
  • edit the VPN profile
  • tap on "Authentication"
  • tap on "Certificate"
  • tap on "Private key" tab
Please can you tell me what is written in the lines before the key data?

P.S.
Don't post the screenshot because it contains sensitive data

This means that the private key is not protected by a password.
This is the reason for which the app doesn't show the "Save private key password" option and don't ask for the private key password
Please, can you check the VPN log and tell me the reported error?

To show the VPN log:
  • start the app
  • tap on the VPN profile name
  • tap on LOG tab
