The official client on the PC asks for a password at startup with this configuration ...
There are no errors in the log, just "Connection reset, restarting [0]"

It seems that problem it’s not a password, but some other parameters ...

I don't know why the PC requests the certificate password.
However on Android's configuration there is no problem with certificates, because the VPN is connected without problems and the client side gets the DHCP lease from the server (this means that the VPN is up and the client can communicate with the server side).
The problem is that after a few seconds the server side closes the connection.
You need to check the server side logs for the reason.
Maybe the server is configured to allow only one connection for the user, so if you use the same client certificate on multiple devices the server disconnects the VPN.
