Hello,
On status I have « there is not VPN configured for auto connect »
This message is normal, as it pertains to the auto connect service status and the "Boot-up/Always-on VPN" setting does not require the auto connect service
"Always-on VPN" is an Android setting, but TVs don't have this setting.
In any case the profile selected as "Boot-up/Always-on VPN" will be started on startup.
If you want a configuration more similar to the behavior of the "Always-on VPN" setting you can use the "On demand" feature
Here are the steps:
- tap on "Connect on demand"
- set "On demand mode" to "Connect when the device send a packet to the selected routes"
- select "Connect on demand"
- set Detination to "0.0.0.0/0"

You're welcome.
Yes, you can use the option "Drop packets on connect/reconnect/unexpected disconnect".
You can set this option in Global options and/or in VPN profile

Hi admin!
Please excuse my paranoia, but I have to ask. I'm using VPN client Pro on a very old phone with an android version where the "kill-switch" functionality wasn't part of the OS yet. Is it absolutely impossible for packets to leave my device when the VPN connection is dropped/interrupted/lost, given I have this setting active? Or is there any conceivable way I could potentially leak my real IP?
Thanks in advance!

Hello,
theoretically no, but there is still a possibility that the app will be stopped by an external event, for example if there is insufficient memory, Android could stop this or other apps.
